Hello! I'm Aliakbar and I'm currently an optimization engineer at Qcells . I got my Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, where I was fortunate to be advised by Chrysanthos E. Gounaris and be part of the Center for Advanced Process Decision-making (CAPD).

Prior to CMU, I obtained my Master's and undergraduate degrees from UC Davis and Sharif University of Technology.

Research Intrestes

My research was in the field of operations research and mathematical optimization, specifically on Mixed-Integer Linear Programs. The primary focus of my work was on developing exact solution algorithms (Branch-Price-and-Cut) and mathematical models to better capture the complexities in the supply chain operations and logistics, mainly in the area of vehicle routing. I'm also very interested in the application of OR in the field of Energy, Machine Learning and Finance.
