Last-mile delivery policy optimization based simulation framework
- In order to adopt a new delivery paradigm for the last-mile delivery operations, three major questions need to be addressed before the actual adoption of the proposed delivery policy in existing operations:
- How do we choose the optimal service day of a flexible customer order?
- What is the economic benefit of the proposed policy?
- Why would customers agree to such flexibility?
- To that end, we established a last-mile delivery policy simulation framework by incorporating existing historical data for Linde PLC to evaluate the performance of new delivery paradigms
